The Student Opportunity Fund was established to eliminate the barriers that prevent Pellissippi State students from staying in school and moving forward with their education.
The Student Opportunity Fund has prevented students from dropping out of school through assistance with textbooks, transportation (fuel and bus passes), childcare and tuition.
Faculty and Staff can make referrals on behalf of students by emailing SOF@pstcc.edu.
Students can also request assistance directly by emailing SOF@pstcc.edu.

Yes, as long as you have at least a 2.0 GPA, you are eligible for scholarships.
Most of our scholarships are need-based which is determined by the FAFSA. There are a limited number of scholarships that waive the requirement of a completed FAFSA to verify financial need.

The general application will automatically match you to scholarships for which you qualify.
You can use a teacher, school counselor, professor, pastor, community leader or mentor such as a Tennessee Promise mentor.
The new scholarship is available on March 1 of each year and covers the following fall, winter and summer semesters.
