We are excited that you’ve chosen 汤头条 to start or continue your education. Student Orientation is designed to help you become familiar with the many student services available at the College and to connect you with other new students, faculty, and staff.
Because Student Orientation is so vital to student success and starting strong, we REQUIRE that all degree-seeking students complete Student Orientation prior to entering Pellissippi State.
Students Entering in Fall 2025
Complete the following three steps: (Hint: You will need to know your Pellissippi State username and password to log into orientation.) You can find that information .
Step 1 – Complete the self-paced
Here you will discover essential information about deadlines, important dates, and college resources. You will also learn how to navigate the Pellissippi State website.
Although online orientation is required for students, we strongly recommend that parents and guardians take the time to review the orientation materials as well to help support their child's success. Parents and guardians can access the online orientation .
Step 2 – Attend an
At your specific orientation, you will receive a campus tour, meet staff and faculty, learn about the College’s resources, and connect with fellow students. Parents and guests are also encouraged to attend! Orientation schedules for each of our campuses are listed below.
Step 3 – Meet with your Success Coach
Your Success Coach will assist you in setting and achieving your college goals as well as introduce you to your Success Team. Your Coach will reach out to you 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the semester.
Q: Who is required to complete both the Online and On-Campus Connection Orientations?
A: All degree-seeking students, which includes new freshmen, transfer, and readmitted students.
Q: Where do I complete the Online Orientation?
A: You can go to www.pstcc.edu/orientation and click on the link in Step 1. The online orientation is self-paced. You will move through modules and it should take you only about 45 minutes.
Q: I am taking online classes only. Do I have to attend the On-Campus Connection Orientation?
A: Yes. All students regardless if they are taking online or in-person classes must attend an On-Campus Connection Orientation if they are degree-seeking students.
Q: I attended Pellissippi in the past. Do I need to complete Student Orientation again?
A: Yes. If a degree-seeking student has had any gap in enrollment (even 1 semester) they must complete both the Online and On-Campus Connection Orientation again.
Q. I am a transfer student and have already completed Orientation at another school. Do I need to do Pellissippi State’s Student Orientation?
A: Yes. Our Orientation will be specific to Pellissippi State, so you must complete both the Online and On-Campus Connection Orientations.
Q: How can I sign up for Student Orientation?
A: You can go to www.pstcc.edu/orientation to sign up for your On-Campus Connection Orientation. You will find the link in Step 2. If you have not downloaded Navigate360 Student, you will need to do that before you register. The video on the Student Orientation webpage provides step-by-step instructions.
Q: If I cannot make the date(s) of the On-Campus Connection Orientation at the campus where I will be taking my classes, should I sign up for one of the dates at the other campuses?
A: Yes. The only campus-specific portion of Orientation is the tour, so it will still be beneficial for you to attend another campus.
Q: What can I expect at the On-Campus Connection Orientation?
A: Orientation will begin with you signing in. Make sure you know your P#! You will receive a name tag, guidebook, and some other info before being welcomed to the College by a speaker and a student panel. You will then be dismissed to go on a tour with other peers from your Career Community. After the tour, you will spend about an hour in an interactive session with faculty and peers within your Career Community. The event will end with a Resource Fair that will have refreshments and an opportunity to get your Student ID. Lastly, you will be able to fill out an exit survey to see how we did and get some free Pellissippi State SWAG!
Q: The only On-Campus Connection Orientation that I can make is the one that is geared toward adult learners. I am not an adult learner, but can I still attend?
A: Yes, please do! This Orientation will still be beneficial to all students who attend.
